Susan grew up in the south in a large family. Where food, parties and gatherings were a way of life. Following in the families footsteps and on her way to law school, she did a 180 turn and decided to get her third bachelors degree in Culinary Management; much to her fathers surprise and support.
In her 20’s, Susan worked most positions in the restaurant industry in both the front and back of the house, before eventually settling into owning a catering company in Oregon. After several years of larger, high end events, she took a much needed break during the pandemic.
Moving to Durango with her husband Dwight and border collie Ellie, was a means for a slower life to enjoy mountain biking, trail running, paddling, skiing and everything else SW Colorado offers.
Cork and Larder is an exciting new chapter in a decades long career in the hospitality field.
